Part of an ongoing collaboration with Brooderhood.
The terms art and craft have shifted in meaning over time. Craft has often been associated with collective forms of making and the transmission of cultural traditions. Yet the Western art world has historically privileged the myth of the individual “artist-genius”, reinforcing patriarchal structures of ownership and originality while shaping what is recognized as art.
This hut invites reflection on broader definitions of collective-practice and democracy. Here, it is approached as a form of knowledge transmission, care, and shared responsibility.
PPP transforms TENT into a site of collective practice: an open workspace, where a multitude of collectives, makers, and visitors collaboratively contribute to the shaping of the space. While being playful and speculative, PPP is a real physical place of political imagination and connection, proposing alternatives to the ways contemporary politics are shaped.
